A Shattered Emerald Bathroom Project

Case Study: In this Lewisham-based project, the customer had clear ideas for the bathroom she wanted: green metro tiles, a green onyx tile, and either wood-effect or white floor tiles. The metro tiles she originally wanted were a racing green, which didn’t sit right with my eye for design. However, she gave me enough information to get the ball rolling with the design.

Due to the size of the bathroom, I wanted the space to feel light and not too dark, so my aim was to balance lighter colours with the heaviness of green. The turquoise onyx was a unique colour, without the strength and sharp edge of the racing green. It was much softer, so I based the room around the colour palette of the turquoise onyx, which includes white, subtle copper hues, and soft neutral tones.

The metro tiles worked very well with the onyx but also had a lighter beige colour within them, which gave me the opportunity to use wood-effect floor tiles without them clashing with the other colours in the bathroom.

Another key requirement was for the bathroom to feel more spacious and to create better use of the available space. Previously, the client only had a small sink positioned next to the toilet. By redesigning the layout, I was able to fit a vanity unit and create more space around the toilet, without it feeling tight on either side.

In the end, the customer was thrilled with the results. I often hear people say they go to high-street retailers for bathroom designs but feel the design is inadequate or missing something, even if they don’t know what it is. At Junaid’s Designs, we make sure our designs feel complete and considered for every customer.

Ispirazione Italiana Bathroom Project

A Case Study: In this Crawley-based project, our client wanted her bathroom to feel more spacious. I showed her this layout, and she loved it, as it opened up the space in her bathroom significantly. I was able to move the basin area from beneath the window to the right-hand wall and change the door to accommodate the vanity unit in its new position.
